Pete Davidson returns to “SNL” for pal John Mulaney's latest musical sketch

John Mulaney and Pete Davidson have teamed up again for their latest musical-inspired work Saturday Night Live Sketch – and it's just as strange as all the others.

From the minds that brought us “Diner Lobster,” “Bodega Bathroom,” “Airport Sushi,” and “Subway Churro” comes another showtune-filled SNL sketch: Port Authority Duane Reade.

This time the bizarre plot begins when two customers (Davidson and Andrew Dismukes) dare to ask the front desk cashier (Mulaney) to hand over a gallon of milk before boarding their bus back to Boston.

“I’m sorry,” Mulaney replied. “You mean the gallon of milk surrounded by cans of twisted iced tea in the fridge that's hotter than the rest of the store?”

“What's the big deal?” Davidson replied. “Milk is milk, right?” This begins the surreal Broadway musical medley, underscoring what a terrible decision they have made.

At the beginning Kenan Thompson and Ego Nwodim a. sing Lion King Parody revealing that the carton is filled with possum milk. Then a shampoo bottle played by Marcello Hernandez screams about being locked up by a prison Sound of music Parody. And that's just the beginning.

Bowen Yang then limps off a greyhound and portrays a perverted bus driver singing a song Les Miserables Parody. He just so happens to be lugging a very valuable cargo with him: or, as Mulaney puts it, “all the twinks arriving for the Timothée Chalamet Lookalike Contest.” Chloe Fineman leads the curly-haired impersonators through a spirited rendition of cabaretis “Welcome,” before Devon Walker parodies New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ associations with Turkey Aladdinis “Prince Ali”.

Another guest star appears as Andy Samberg appears in the role of the dead bear cub that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently admits he abandoned in Central Park. Of course he introduces himself to the melody HamiltonThe opening number is “Alexander Hamilton.” The cast then joins together for a performance of “We Go Together.” Fat — but not before Mulaney and Davidson put a damper on their long-standing friendship by breaking character and calling each other names.

“Here, Pete, here’s your bus milk,” Mulaney said, handing him the gallon.

“Thanks, John,” Davidson replied. The crowd immediately burst into laughter as Dismukes looked between the two in confusion.

Mulaney also hosted for the sixth time SNLThe latest episode marks Davidson's first return to the show since October 2023, when he served as host of the Season 49 premiere.
