After flying across the pond on Thursday night, the New England Patriots arrived in London for their Week 7 game. The Patriots will be welcomed by the Jacksonville Jaguars, who stayed in England after a loss in Week 6 and are also looking for their second win of the season.

Despite appearing on the injury report this week, Drake Maye is back at center for the Patriots, where the rookie will seek his first career win as a starter.

First quarter

Jacksonville won the coin toss and adjourned, allowing Drake Maye and Co. to be on the field to start the day. New England got two first downs through the air to DeMario Douglas and Hunter Henry moving across midfield. Then set up with a 3rd-and-3, a handoff went to Rhamondre Stevenson for 11 yards inside the red zone. A sack then pushed New England behind the uprights, but Maye beat the blitz and found JaMycal Hasty, who took the ball from 16 yards for a touchdown. (Patriots 7-0 Jaguars)

The Jacksonville offense started working right away on its first drive, as Trevor Lawerence hit Evan Engram for 21 yards on his first two attempts. Back-to-back runs led to a 3rd-and-5, where a short pass out of the backfield by Jonathan Jones was stopped.

Second quarter

Back in football, New England faced a third and fourth game early on. With the gun, Maye broke out of the pocket and landed 15 yards on the ground. Two completions to Henry then gave him 25 yards to put the Patriots over midfield again. Just outside the red zone on 3rd-and-7, Maye's pass to Kendrick Bourne was simply incomplete. Injury update: OL Layden Robinson (ankle) is questionable to return.

The Jaguars' next possession got going with a 13-yard completion to Gabe Davis, followed shortly after by a 20-yard pass to Christian Kirk. Two consecutive first-down runs by D'Ernest Johnson and Tank Bigsby then moved Jacksonville to the 10. On 3rd-and-goal, Lawerence found a wide open Brian Thomas Jr. for the score. After Kayshon Boutte drew a DPI to open the next drive, New England fell behind with a negative run and a tight final screen. On the 3rd and 15th, Maye was forced into a check on Hasty, which narrowly missed the post.

Jacksonville quickly threatened the New England defense when Lawrence lofted a perfectly placed low shot to Thomas Jr., who made a tough catch over Christian Gonzalez in tight coverage. Three runs in a row then led to a touchdown. (Patriots 10:14 Jaguars)

Now trailing for the first time, New England faced a 3rd-and-10 after a one-yard run and a false start against Henry. After the two-minute warning, Maye's hole shot was deflected to Polk on the right sideline.

Baringer's punt landed at the four-point line and was carried 96 yards by Parker Washington for a touchdown. Jacksonville then scored two points on an extra point penalty where Lawerence Thomas scored for the conversion. (Patriots 10: 22 Jaguars)

With 1:34 left in the half, a negative first down run was followed by an incompletion for Douglas. On 3rd-and-14, Maye hit Henry over the middle for just 11 yards, which led to another punt.

That punt by Baringer was downed at the six-yard line, where Jacksonville had 39 seconds on the clock. A quick finish brought the game to halftime.
