Packers News, Oct. 14: The Packers did it all and earned a stunning victory over the Cardinals

The Green Bay Packers' performance on Sunday was by far their most complete of the season so far, so it should come as no surprise that their 34-13 victory over the Arizona Cardinals was their largest margin of victory in 2024.

Everyone nailed it on offense; Jordan Love had a great day, but his offensive line keeping him clean helped him significantly. The running game totaled 179 yards, surpassing the 175-yard mark for the third time this season. And a number of different receivers made big plays, including two scores from a player who had just returned from a suspension.

It took a lot on defense to contain Kyler Murray, but the player who had at least 45 rushing yards in four of five games this season only had 14 yards on 7 carries on Sunday. Even the pass rush looked better, and although they couldn't record a sack against Murray, the unit applied consistent pressure as the Packers jumped out to a big lead.

Then there were the special teams, which came into play with a really nice punt and a game-winning return from a penalty against Arizona. One of the few downsides to this game was another missed field goal by Brayden Narveson that did no harm to the team this week.

All in all, it was a fantastic game for Packers fans, one without much drama in the second half. This hasn't happened in a long time, so we hope you enjoyed it.

Quick reaction: Perfect pass protection gave Jordan Love the big day | Packers.com
The Packers' offensive line was excellent in pass protection this weekend, as Love was not sacked and only took two hits the entire game. This time allowed him to fully progress and make some big plays as a result.

Love also made some nice plays with his legs to move the chains. There's also a fun tidbit about the Tucker power sneak and how Matt LaFleur, who was initially skeptical of the play, trusted his assistant coaches that it would work.

Turning point: Crazy three-game sequence turns Packers-Cardinals into a slammer | Packers Wire
Jayden Reed's punt return fumble was erased, Keisean Nixon took the next one almost 40 yards and Love hit Watson for a 44-yard bomb. Instead of the Cardinals being prepared to cut the deficit to 10 points, this sequence gave the Packers a 24-0 lead and was truly the turning point of the game.

We still don't really know what problem triggered Doubs two weeks ago, but he bounced back with a two-point performance and looks to be back to normal going forward.

Evan Williams made a crucial stop on Murray on a 3rd-and-1 read, but that was just one example of the Packers keeping the mobile quarterback under control.
