Next was the usual sound check with her band. “The most important thing I do before the show is warm up my voice,” says Abrams, who jammed a few songs with her band. At this point in her career, touring, with all its trappings, is a way of life, she says. “Since I started touring a few years ago, I now mark time rather than months or seasons,” she says.

As the countdown to her show ticked down, Abrams headed to her dressing room for a quick fitting with stylist Spencer Singer. In the end, the duo chose an elegant Chanel dress with a plunging neckline and seersucker, floral and sequin details. “I like to wear what makes me feel the most comfortable in my skin,” says Abrams, the new brand ambassador for Chanel Coco Crush. “I like the feeling of being able to move and breathe. Tonight's look is glamorous; (We wanted) something that would shine in the lights at Radio City.” After the glamour, it was finally time to hit the stage – where Abrams performed hits like “Close To You” and “I Love You, I'm Sorry” performed in front of a crowd of enthusiastic fans.
