Noman Ali also deserves to be named Player of the Series with me: Sajid Khan

Following their win, Khan was named Player of the Series as he became the second highest wicket-taker in the series with 19 wickets from four innings at an average of 21.10 and an economy of 4.42. He also scored 72 runs from three innings with an unbeaten highest score of 48.

After receiving his Player of the Series award, Khan thanked the Almighty for winning the series and also appreciated the efforts of his spin partner Noman Ali, who said that he should have been adjudged Player of the Series with him too .

The pitch did everything at Multan: Khan

“Thank God for the series win. There was no pressure at all, I was making a comeback, but there were people supporting me and I had played FC cricket. I'm not like that off the field, I'm funny, Kamran Ghulam is my best friend, but you have to behave like that to raise the morale of the team. In Multan (in the second Test) you didn't have to do anything, the pitch did everything. Here you had to vary the length and tempo, so we just did that. Noman Bhai is one of the most experienced spinners of our country, he has been a great buddy and has served us well. He deserves this PoS award with me. Congratulations to the nation on this victory,” Khan said in the post-match presentation.

Noman finished the series as the top wicket-taker with 20 scalps from four innings at an average of 13.85 and an economy of 3.04. Notably, the duo was brought back into the team after a humiliating defeat by an innings and 47 runs in the first Test and the move worked wonders for Pakistan as they eventually ended their 11-Test winning streak at home. They also won their first home series since 2021 and their first series win against England since 2015.
