Nick tried to “produce” a breakup scene from “Love Is Blind,” says Hannah

Warning: This article contains spoilers from Love is blind Season 7, Episodes 1-11.

The Love is blind Season 7 couples are dropping like flies.

In the new episode (now streaming on Netflix), several couples broke up before even making it to next week's final weddings: Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka and Alex Byrd and Tim Godbee. In Hannah and Nick's case, things went wrong after Hannah's friends didn't like Nick and she decided that she had to break up with him instead of trying on wedding dresses. After pointing out his five mistakes, which she said he hadn't worked on since discovering her list in Mexico, she told him they weren't getting married.

“The breakup (that followed) was very similar to what had happened,” Hannah says Weekly entertainment. “Of course there are cuts and stuff, and the conversation is about a lot more than what's shown on TV, but that's how we parted ways. I think Nick also said a little more than he shows, but it's a pretty good representation of it.”

Although it seems that Hannah's friends not liking Nick were the reason she broke up, she explains that there is no “precise exact time” to the moment she decided to break up with him to break up with him.

“I think the longer we were together, the more we realized how different each of us were,” she says. “My friends didn't really like him, we were getting married soon and I had to make a decision and I just couldn't see us working out in the long term. I don't think either of us wanted that.” I didn't want to just be in this relationship, so I was like, “We should just end this before we get into wedding dresses and stuff.”

In episode 11, everything happened as quickly as it seems. Nick met Hannah's friends and then went to a wedding alone that evening. The next day was the wedding dress and tuxedo appointments, and Hannah says Nick was on his way to his tuxedo fitting when she called him to tell him she wasn't going to the wedding dress store.

“I just knew it that morning. I woke up and just didn’t feel right,” she adds. “Trying on a wedding dress was such an important thing and if I wasn't sure, I didn't want to do it. I called him out of respect because I didn't want him and I to show up.” I didn't show up, so I called him and said, “I don't think I'm trying on wedding dresses.”

Hannah was shocked at how he responded to her call. “He was just really stressed about what it was going to look like, and the way he acted on the phone call made it clear to me that we weren't supposed to be together,” she says. “Because he tried to almost produce it and that just made me uncomfortable. That’s when I just realized we weren’t supposed to be together.”

According to Hannah, Nick was very worried about how he would look if they broke up in front of the camera, while she didn't think about it at all.

“He wanted it to be a good breakup where he looked good and I didn't say anything mean to him, and he wanted to make sure I didn't say certain things or bring things up in conversations,” she says. “Listen, a lot of the things I do are wrong. I have many mistakes. But overall, that's who I am, and I'm not going to change our breakup just to make you look good when I don't feel that way in general.”

After their breakup, Nick said in his confessional that he wanted to make it to the final weddings. But Hannah doesn't think he would have said yes at the altar if they had. “I feel like he said no, but we'll probably never know,” she says.

After watching herself in the episodes, Hannah understands the criticism she receives for being “brutally honest,” downright mean, to Nick—as if she were saying he was in no way her equal.

“It's the truth, but it's really, really hard and a lot of it doesn't need to be said,” Hannah admits. “I just brought this up so he would understand, because many times in our relationship I noticed how brutal I was, and it was hard, but all I asked for was something in return, and I feel like I never have any feedback.” only I always asked questions and he didn't ask me any questions at all.

Hannah says her “frustration” got the best of her and that’s why she kept pushing him in all their serious conversations. “I got so angry and said all these things about why I just feel like I'm superior to him, which I'm not,” she says. “But that’s how I felt in that moment because he didn’t understand where I was coming from. I wasn't feeling well and I said hurtful things. That's how I felt at that moment. Is that correct? No.”, but that’s really how I felt.

She laughs now about how it seems like she's basically interviewing and testing Nick in every conversation. “I was looking for an answer from him and asking more and more questions because he didn’t have an answer,” she says. “So I have to ask 20 questions to get what I want from him.”

But she learned a valuable lesson by seeing herself in those moments. “I realized that the only thing that matters is delivery. While I may be honest and say exactly what’s on my mind, it’s all about how you deliver it,” says Hannah. “You can say it in a much kinder and gentler way. I really need to work on it. And my brutal honesty doesn't always have to be there. It was wrong, but I really think that's what we came out with.” The worst thing about each other just wasn't my best thing. That doesn't excuse it, but I try to be kinder with my words and my performances.

I look back at her Love is blind experience, she does not regret going on the show, even if everything ended for her. “I didn’t find my Prince Charming, I didn’t get married, and that’s okay. I really made a lot of friends and learned a lot about myself,” she says. “I didn't find love, but I found self-love, so I'm really glad I did the experiment because I learned a lot about who I am, what I want and what's good and what's bad. “ about me. If I didn’t have love, at least I got it.”

The Love is blind The Season 7 finale will be released on Netflix on Wednesday, October 23rd.
