NFL results, live updates: Ravens host Commanders in showdown of MVP favorites, Saints take on Buccaneers

Raise your hand if you thought at the start of the season that “Beltway Battle” would be featured in Week 6 two Top candidates for NFL MVP.

Sure, Lamar Jackson would have been on the radar after being named the league's most valuable player twice – including last season – but how about Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels? He completed 77.1% (yes, you read that right) of his passes in the first five games of the season and is the first player in NFL history with 1,000 passing yards and 250 rushing yards in the first five games of his career.

More importantly for the Commanders, he has led them to a 4-1 record and now has a top spot against the Ravens, who have won three straight games, including an overtime thriller in Cincinnati last week in which Jackson scored 348 yards and four touchdown passes, and Derrick Henry surpassed the 10,000-yard rushing mark for his career.

While this matchup looms large, the Saints and Buccaneers meet in a big NFC South matchup where a win could give Tampa Bay a two-game lead in the division. Plus, the Texans are 4-1 in New England as Drake Maye makes his first NFL start for the Patriots against CJ Stroud and the Texans' potent offense.

(Bye: Chiefs, Rams, Dolphins, Vikings)
