NFL makes “Sunday Night Football” flex decision for Week 11

The Denver Broncos' showdown with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11 will remain an afternoon game.

The Broncos-Falcons game was a candidate to be moved from a 2:05 p.m. MT time slot on CBS to 6:20 p.m. MT Football on Sunday evenings Window on NBC. After Denver's ugly loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, the NFL decided to take a different approach.

The Cincinnati Bengals (4-5) and the Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) were brought into the game SNF window for Week 11, the league announced Monday. This matchup was preferred to the Broncos (5-4) vs. Falcons (6-3).

The original SNF The game scheduled for No. 17 was the Indianapolis Colts (4-5) versus the New York Jets (3-6). To make room for the Bengals-Chargers game, the Colts-Jets matchup has been moved to 11:00 a.m. MT on CBS.

Denver's game against Atlanta will continue to be an afternoon opener on CBS. The Broncos have one more primetime game scheduled this season – a Monday Night Football Showdown with the Cleveland Browns in Week 13.

The NFL also has yet to set dates and times for Weeks 17 and 18. Denver could move each of those two weeks to a Saturday later this season.
