“We have to take the good things forward,” Rohit added. The second Test is scheduled to begin on Thursday in Pune.

“We've been here before and suffered home defeats, things like that happen. We know what’s important and will give everything in the next two tests.”

India has history on its side having won 18 consecutive Test series on home soil dating back to 2012.
