The 21st season has a new time slot!

The 21st season of Grey's Anatomy premiered on September 26th in a brand new timeslot. The show will now air at 10 p.m. instead of the usual 9 p.m. Thursdays on ABC begin with 9-1-1 at 8 p.m., followed by Ryan Murphyis the new drama series Doctor Odyssey at 9 p.m.

The new season will consist of 18 episodes.

Meg Marinis returns as showrunner after taking on that role in Season 20.

Sophia Bush – JOINING THE SHOW, ANNOUNCED MID-SEASON

This was announced on October 16, 2024 Sophia joins the show as a recurring star. She makes her debut on the series in the sixth episode of the season, which airs on November 7th.

On the hit ABC medical drama series Sophia will have a trauma surgeon named Dr. Playing Cass Beckman, who Deadline says is “lovable, funny, and a little messy around the edges.” Furthermore, Dr. Cass Beckman with a cardiothoracic surgeon at Gray Sloan, Dr. David Beckman, married. However, it is unclear whether this role has already been filled at this point. Deadline also notes that this character is expected to play a supporting role.

Jack McBrayer – joined the show as a guest star

beloved 30 Rock Actor Jack McBrayer appeared on the series as a guest star in the episode that aired on October 10th. He played a patient who is in the hospital for a kidney transplant.
