Navitas previews advances in GaN and SiC technologies,

TORRANCE, Calif., Oct. 28, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Navitas Semiconductor (Nasdaq: NVTS), the only next-generation pure-play power semiconductor company and an industry leader in gallium nitride (GaN) power ICs and silicon carbide (SiC) technology, announced that there will be a preview of several groundbreaking developments at electronica 2024 (Hall C 3, Stand 129, November 12th).Th– 15Th).

In line with the mission to “Electrify our World™,” the “Planet Navitas” booth invites visitors to discover how next-generation GaN and SiC technology provide the latest solutions for AI data centers, EV transportation, renewable energy , industrial drives and consumers enable devices. Each example highlights end-user benefits such as higher power density, higher efficiency, longer range, faster charging, portability and grid independence, with a focus on how low carbon footprint GaN and SiC technology save over 6 Gt/year can CO2 until 2050.

Key technology updates include the world's first 8.5 kW power supply for AI and hyperscale data centers with high-performance GaNSafe power ICs and fast 3rd generation SiC MOSFETs.

With over 20 years of experience as a SiC innovation leader, GeneSiC technology delivers world-leading temperature performance to deliver cool-running, fast-switching SiC MOSFETs that support up to three times more powerful AI data centers and faster-charging electric vehicles. The Gen-3 Fast GeneSiC MOSFETs are developed using a proprietary “Trench-Assisted Planar” technology that delivers leading performance while offering superior robustness, manufacturability and cost than the competition. 3rd Generation Fast MOSFETs provide high efficiency with high-speed performance, enabling case temperatures up to 25°C lower and lifespan up to three times longer than competitive SiC products.

Also on display will be the company's latest evolution of GaNSense™ motor drive ICs for home appliances and industrials, a bidirectional 650V GaN demonstrator for next-generation ultra-efficiency and power density solutions, and newly released SiCPAK™ modules for high-performance markets such as power grid, renewable energy, electric vehicle charging and UPS.

In addition to the exhibition, the company's Llew Vaughan-Edmunds will take part in the EETimes panel discussion.SiC and GaN technologies – exploring advances, tackling challenges' (12.11Th2:20 p.m. local time). This debate examines both current and upcoming advances that will increase the share of wide-bandgap technologies in the legacy silicon power IC market, estimated at $22 billion per year. Analyst firm Yole Group predicts that GaN and SiC products will account for 30% of the power semiconductor market by 2027.

electronica 2024 is taking place Munich trade fair groundsAm Messesee 2, 81829 Munich, from November 12thTh – 15Th. “Planet Navitas” can be seen in Hall C3, Stand No. 129.
