    In just two days, voters will head to the polls to make their voices heard on Election Day. Thousands more have already voted early or by postal vote.

    Polling stations open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Until then, Iowans have one more time to vote on candidates for president, Congress, legislative and county seats.

    Do I still have time to vote early?

    Yes. Voters can still vote early on Monday. Check with your auditor's office for times.

    The Polk County Elections Office, 120 Second Ave. in Des Moines, is open for early voting Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In Dallas County, the auditor's office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 210 N. 10th St. in Adel.

    I voted early. How can I be sure my vote was counted?

    Absentee and early voters can track their ballots on the Secretary of State's website. If you have not yet mailed your mail-in ballot, you should drop it off at your auditor's office by 8 p.m. Tuesday. In a recent change, ballots must be received by Election Day and must not be postmarked.

    When are the polls open on Election Day in Iowa?

    Polls will be open November 5th from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you are standing in line when the polls close, you can still vote.

    Where do I vote in Iowa for the 2024 election?

    To find your polling place, visit the Iowa Secretary of State's website at sos.iowa.gov/elections. There you will find your district number and your voting location.

    What should I bring to the vote?

    Registered voters must present their ID when they go to the polls. You can present an Iowa driver's license, ID card, U.S. passport, military ID, veterans ID, tribal ID, or voter ID.

    I am not registered. Can I still vote?

    Yes. You can register at your polling station on election day. Find out if you are registered to vote on the Iowa Secretary of State's website.

    If you are not registered, bring ID and proof of residency, e.g. For example, a rental agreement, utility bill, paycheck, or property tax bill.

    How do I know who is on my ballot?

    Once you find your county and voting location, your county auditor should have sample ballots available on their website.
