Mariota leads Washington to victory

In his first major action of the 2024 season, Saint Louis graduate Marcus Mariota led the Washington Commanders to a dominant 40-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Due to a rib injury to rookie starter Jayden Daniels, Mariota was thrust into action early, going 0-for-3 in the first quarter but finding his comfort zone from there, completing 18 of his 23 passes for 205 yards, two touchdowns and none Interceptions.
