In a special Halloween episode of Caresha Please, Hosted by Yung Miami of City Girls, singer Mariah the Scientist sits down for an interview.

Anyone who follows the Atlanta-based singer knows that she is currently in a relationship with rapper Young Thug, who is currently incarcerated. However, many have suspected that her first album, MASTER, was about her ex-boyfriend, rapper Lil Yachty. Why? Well, the project was released on his birthday.

In true Caresha fashion, she wasn't afraid to ask the girls questions Really have. Starting with…was Mariah really dating Lil Yachty? “We're dating,” Mariah confirmed reluctantly.

She continued to tell the story of the first song she wrote for the “Poland” singer. The couple met in high school and before she knew it, she was a struggling student with little to offer – or so she believed. So “she made him two different songs, and I put them on an iPod and gave it to him… signed on the back. And it was really sweet,” she said.

However, Yachty was not impressed and revealed that she felt like she had stepped on his toes. But when she played the song to her friends, they were impressed and encouraged her to pursue a career in music. And she did.

Ironically, in our 2021 interview, we asked Mariah, “What was the very first song you wrote and what was the inspiration behind it?” She replied, “The first song I wrote was probably crazy, but it was a Valentine's Day gift I made.” I think I was inspired by the feeling of really thoughtful gifts that have nothing to do with materialism.”
