Luke Bryan, a country singer and songwriter, recently spoke about Beyoncé's rejection from the 2024 CMA Award nomination.

In his recent appearance on SiriusXM Andy Cohen LiveBryan shared his thoughts on Beyoncé's album Cowboy Carter when the host asked him to share his views.

When asked, he replied, “It's a tricky question because obviously Beyoncé made a country album and Beyoncé has a lot of fans out there supporting her.” And when she doesn't get something she wants, they show up you like fans should.”

Bryan said he's “all for anyone who comes in and makes country albums and stuff” and stressed that “a lot of great music gets overlooked.”

“Just because she did one…just because I did one, I don't get any nominations,” he further shared.

The Buy dirt The hitmaker said: “Everyone loved that Beyoncé did a country album. Nobody’s mad about it,” noting, “But where it gets a little trickier – if you want to make country albums, come to our world and be a little country with us.”

Explaining his stance on family country music, he emphasized, “Like Beyoncé can do exactly what she wants. She is probably the biggest star in music.

“But come to an awards ceremony and give us a high-five, have fun and be part of the family. And I’m not saying she didn’t do that…but country music is a lot about family.”

Notably, ahead of the singer's album release in March of this year, Beyoncé posted on Instagram that it “came out of an experience I had years ago where I felt unwelcome.”

“And it was very clear that it wasn’t me,” she concluded, referring to the country music genre.

It is pertinent to mention that in 2016, Beyoncé was criticized for her performance on her country song Dad lessons with The chicks at the 50th CMA Awards.

Criticism intensified when it was removed from the CMA website.
