Lucinda Williams sings the Beatles from Abbey Road is the seventh edition of the pandemic-popular Lu's Juxebox series and follows interpretations by Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones and others. In keeping with the Fab Four spirit, Williams decided to take her homage to the next level by recording at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. So “Something” sings Williams from Abbey Road from Abbey Road, marking the first time that another major artist has recorded selections from the Beatles catalog at this landmark.

Williams ends the album with a love of the Liverpool boys' late work: she opens the project with a version of the popular Get Back B-side “Don't Let Me Down”, then moves into “Let It Be” and ” I’ve Got A Feeling,” before ending with “The Long and Winding Road.” How Let it be, 1968s The Beatles (The White Album) also features prominently throughout the project, with “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”, “Yer Blues” and “I'm So Tired”. While the two groundbreaking records lay the foundation for the project, the eclectic tracklist draws on strange endings from other eras, from hits like “Can't Buy Me Love” and “With A Little Help from My Friends” to the deeper cuts “Rain” and “I’m looking through you.”

Williams is scheduled to return to the stage on October 17th with Life is a Carnival: A Musical Celebration of Robbie Robertson and then continue her fall tour in November with a show on November 9th at The Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY.
