Yes, Marissa George's mother agrees: Ramses Prashad was far from it.

The Love is blind The 32-year-old season 7 star shared what her mother has been feeling off-camera since her emotional breakup with her ex-fiancé in the season 7 finale of the hit Netflix show.

“She felt like he was very different than who I had previously dated, and she felt like he would ultimately never be able to keep up with my lifestyle because he didn't have a (college) degree had,” she said Shine In a new interview, she added that her mother placed “a lot of value” on higher education.

“She said she felt like he had a superiority complex,” Marissa explained. “She tried to give him a chance. She was nice to him off camera, but when they had the conversation about his ex-wife, they didn't show it, but literally interrupted him and said, 'I'm done.' Listen to what you have to say.'”

The Washington, D.C.-based lawyer recalled how Ramses “talked about (his divorce)” in a way that made her mother recoil and think, “Don't explain marriage or divorce to me.”

“It came across as harsh,” she admitted of their first meeting. “All she’s trying to say is that he was down on her. And she says, 'I'm done with this conversation, you're trying to sound like a saint.'”

Marissa said her mother “saw through that” and “also saw that I had to carry him emotionally in the relationship and be the one to take care of him.”

At the end of the day, Marissa admitted that she “agreed” that Ramses appeared to talk down to her throughout her time on the show. “As I'm watching it, I'm thinking, 'God, Marissa, he's not listening to anything you say,'” she continued. “He said, 'Nobody put a gun to your head when you joined the military,' and I said, 'Didn't you hear anything I just said?'”

Marissa claimed that Ramses seemed to exude an aura of “moral superiority” in her conversations, particularly when it came to controversial topics such as the military, sex and politics.

“It's like, 'Okay, I don't have a degree, I don't have this, I don't have that, But “I'm more progressive than you and I care about the world more than you do, so I'm going to say it in small words to make you feel that way,” she explained, adding that she only noticed Ramses' behavior while watching them show back.

She confessed that she doesn't think “he's as feminist as he thinks” and that Ramses can sometimes be “much more selfish than he realizes.” Despite this, she said she still thinks her ex is a “good person.”

“I just don’t think he realizes how he comes across,” she said. “He says, 'I hear what you're saying, but I don't actually care,' because no matter how feminist a man is, he's still going to have a blind spot because he's a man at the end of the day.” “

As for her mother, Marissa confessed that she needed “therapy,” but thought fans' reactions to her comments on the show – her mother once threatened Ramses that she would “cut off his balls” if he married Marissa would hurt – were unjust and asked people for mercy.

“I think my mother and I have a very interesting relationship because she was 17 or 18 when she had me,” she explained. “I know from therapy that a lot of my people-pleasing tendencies come from my mother trying to mold me so that I don’t fall down the same path as her.”

Marissa continued: “I think people just need to be a little bit kinder. Being a mother is hard and she is not perfect and she still has a lot of work to do on herself. But that doesn't mean she fucking hates her kids because she called me a bitch on TV. It's crazy, people say, “Oh my God, I would never call someone their name.” We all have, come on.

Marissa and Ramses experienced one of the more emotional journeys on the series, marked by many intense conversations that wouldn't normally be on display Love is blind before. After getting engaged in the groups and enjoying their vacation in Mexico, things got serious when they returned to the real world, where their different beliefs and perspectives were pretty clear to family and friends.

Their relationship reached a breaking point at the end of episode 11, when Ramses and Marissa discussed their future and Ramses' worries about getting married again. Ultimately, his fear that he would hurt Marissa became his primary concern and he decided it would be better to go their separate ways.

“How could I be so sure and you not?” Marissa asked. “I want someone to be sure about me.”

But even though Ramses applied for a marriage license together and was just days away from their wedding, he canceled, leaving Marissa heartbroken and sobbing on the floor.

“This is the worst day of my life,” Marissa shouted in the heartbreaking scene that ended at the start of episode 12, before taking off her ring and leaving it on the carpet.
