Police are investigating a shooting in downtown Orlando where people were celebrating Halloween.

FOX 35's cameras, which overlook parts of downtown, captured a large police presence along Orange Avenue and Central Avenue near Wall Street Plaza, where there are several bars, clubs and restaurants.

From a vantage point, one can watch crowds of people strolling the entire length of Orange Avenue, which is not uncommon in downtown Orlando on a holiday weekend. Moments later, crowds of people suddenly start running.

Several police officers can then be seen running in the opposite direction.

Congressman Maxwell Frost, who represents Florida's 10th District, posted a short message on X urging people to stay away from downtown. He mentioned reports of several people being hit. Police have not confirmed whether anyone was injured in the shooting.
