Listen to comments from Badgers HC's Luke Fickell following the 28-13 loss to Penn State

The Wisconsin Badgers lost their first game in a month when they lost 28-13 to the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday night at Camp Randall Stadium, falling to 5-3 on the season.

It was a hard-fought game for Wisconsin, who managed to stay competitive for three quarters but ultimately couldn't pull out a win in a tough game Saturday.

On offense, Wisconsin struggled to get its running game going, as leadback Tawee Walker managed just 59 yards on 22 carries, while quarterback Braedyn Locke turned the ball over and completed just 52 percent of his passes in the loss.

Defensively, the Badgers held their own for most of the game and led at halftime against a top team in the country, but struggled with backup quarterback Beau Pribula in the second half as they lost momentum in the double-digit loss to Penn State.

Speaking to reporters watching the game, head coach Luke Fickell noted the difficult nature of the game, highlighting the difficulties in the fourth quarter after the game was close for much of the contest.
