Lee Jin-ho, illegal gambling → police investigation confession”

Comedian Lee Jin-ho confessed to illegal gambling and resulting unaffordable debts.

On the 14th, Lee Jin-ho began with an apology: “I’m sorry. I write this to confess my shameful past based on my misjudgment.”

Lee Jin-ho said: “I randomly started gambling on illegal online gambling sites in 2020 and incurred debts that I couldn't afford. I was able to wake up belatedly to the sparkling advice of my acquaintances and the fear that I may never be able to do what I love again, but I have already received financial help from many people,” he confessed.

Then “I'll pay the money back every month and I'll pay back all this debt myself until the day I die,” he said.

He said: “Financial loss is also a loss, but above all I felt very sorry for those who trusted me and lent me money. When I received a call to an unknown number, I thought it was a debt-related call and I felt like every day was filled with fear of when the world would know about it,” he said.

I thought I could at least get out of this fear after confessing everything and being punished, but I had to work to pay off my debts, so that wouldn't be my own greed. I couldn’t make a choice,” I confessed.

Lee Jin-ho “I am so ashamed and sorry. As a celebrity on the show, I really regret the past when I forgot my duty and ruined it with a moment of misjudgment. Even if I won't. “If I'm a good person as a role model for others, I'll try my best not to be someone who points fingers,” he reflected.

And “Lastly, I promise to pay off the debts that remain to me by all means.” I would also like to bow and apologize to many of you who would have been disappointed in me for causing a stir in society and so quickly hiding it would have. I will also accept the police investigation sincerely and pay for my guilt. “I’m really sorry,” he said again and bowed.

Meanwhile, Lee Jin-ho, who debuted in SBS's “Find Your Lover” in 2005, is active in traditional comedy, entertainment and digital content.

Hello, I'm Lee Jinho.

Sorry, I'm writing to confess my shameful past based on my misjudgment.

I accidentally started gambling on an illegal online gambling site in 2020 and I have debts that I can't afford. I awoke belatedly to the stinging advice of my acquaintances and the fear that I might never be able to do what I love again, but I had already received financial help from many people.

I pay the money back every month and will continue to repay this debt on my own until I die. A financial loss is also a loss, but above all I felt very sorry for those who trusted me and lent me money. When I received a call from an unknown number, my heart raced and I felt like I was filled every day with fear of when the world would know about it.

Rather, I thought that I could at least get out of this fear after confessing everything and being punished, but I had to work to repay my debt a little, so it wouldn't be my own greed. I couldn't make a choice right away.

I'm so embarrassed and sorry. As a celebrity on the show, I really regret the past when I forgot my duty and ruined it through a moment of misjudgment. Even if I don't become a good person who serves as a role model for others, I will at least try not to be a person who points the finger at someone else.

Finally, I promise to definitely repay the debts I have left. I would also like to bow and apologize to many of you who would have been disappointed in me for causing a stir in society and hiding it so quickly. I will also accept the police investigation sincerely and pay for my guilt.

I'm really sorry.
