A country music superstar will perform at the Thanksgiving game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.

Last year, Dolly Parton stunned NFL fans with an impressive performance at the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Kickoff halftime concert during the Dallas game.

It sent social media into a frenzy, and it appears the Cowboys are preparing to push it back. The team announced Sunday that Lainey Wilson will headline the Red Kettle Kickoff halftime performance this Thanksgiving.

The event has been held since 1997 to raise money for people who are struggling and in need of resources.

Although announcing the achievement because the team was humiliated by the Lions didn't exactly go down well with fans (see answers), it's a really smart decision by everyone involved.

Lainey Wilson is one of the biggest names in country music and has been on a roll in recent years.

Find someone who can star in “Yellowstone” and also release hits. She is incredibly talented and will now be able to perform in front of the entire country on Thanksgiving.

Dolly Parton lit it up last year, and while the vibe will certainly be different, I have a feeling Lainey Wilson will put on a show.
