The stars attended the annual Academy Museum Gala over the weekend in their most glamorous dresses and tuxedos. The gala was held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles and was compared to the Met Gala in terms of haute couture, star-studded attendees and a lavish, star-worthy carpet.

Much like the Met Gala, which takes place every year on the first Monday in May at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, the event is largely kept under wraps away from the red carpet. Celebrities like Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Ayo Edebri, Paul Mescal and many more turned out in fine form for an opulent evening on Saturday.

Cynthia Erivo, who is currently in her midst Evil Press tour ahead of the highly anticipated film adaptation, which was screened during the gala. In true Elphaba fashion, Erivo wore green on both the red carpet and on stage. Her co-star Ariana Grande was reminiscent of Glinda in her light pink polka dot dress.

Sisters Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner had a sister's night at the gala and posed together on the red carpet. Both Kim and Kylie wore vintage Thierry Mugler clothing that evening, while Kendall opted for Schiaparelli.

This is only the fourth year of the gala and raises money for museum exhibitions, education and programs within the film community. This year, the Academy Museum honored Paul Mescal, Quentin Tarantino and legendary actress Rita Moreno for their “groundbreaking achievements, cinematic influence and demonstrated versatility” in the film industry.
