Kristin Cavallari weighs in on Jay Cutler's drunk driving and gun arrest

Kristin Cavallari said she hopes her ex-husband Jay Cutler “gets the help he needs” after the former NFL quarterback was arrested on drunken driving and weapons charges in Franklin, Tennessee, last Thursday.

During the latest episode of her “Let's Be Honest” podcast, the former reality star made a brief statement and said she would not be discussing it further.

“I obviously wish Jay all the best and hope he gets the help he needs,” said Cavallari, who has sons Camden, 12, and Jaxon, 10, and daughter Saylor, 8, with Cutler. “But that’s the only thing I’ll say publicly about it.”

Cavallari, who announced her split from Cutler in 2020, explained that she recorded the podcast episode titled “Breaking Up Sucks,” which also discussed their divorce, before Cutler's arrest.

“This episode was recorded before a very public incident with my ex-husband occurred last week,” Cavallari said. “So keep that in mind as you listen. I won’t comment on what happened.”

According to police records, Cutler was also arrested for failure to exercise due diligence and violating the implied consent law.

He posted $5,000 bail and was released later on the evening of Oct. 17, a Franklin Police Department representative told TMZ Sports.

Cavallari and Cutler married in 2013 and divorced in 2022 due to financial disputes.

The Uncommon James founder, 37, is single after splitting from boyfriend Mark Estes last month.

Cutler and his current girlfriend Samantha Robertson made their relationship public in September 2023.

Cutler, who most recently played for the Dolphins, retired from the NFL and took a job as a broadcaster at Fox Sports in May 2017.
