The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Washington Commanders 30-23 in Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season.

The Ravens earned a seven-point win against the Commanders. The game never really seemed in doubt as the defense dominated the game for much of the first half and dominated the Ravens' offense.

A big question this week was how this team would fare against the pass, and while Brandon Stephens' poor ball skills and Roquan Smith's shaky coverage hurt them at times, overall they played very well.

Losing Brian Robinson was crucial, but they had the second-best running game in the league and couldn't produce anything. For the sixth time in six games, the Ravens had a lead of at least 100 yards over their opponent.

Derrick Henry took over the game in the second half after Zay Flowers took over in the first half. Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews also had good games, while Lamar Jackson looks as comfortable as he's ever been and continues to make everything look easy.

The Ravens held them to 33% on third downs, and the Ravens had the ball for just over 36 minutes.

Excellent win to set up an extremely tough game next Monday night in Tampa.

Another game, another win for these Ravens. They won four games in a row and that was a fun game. It's annoying that the offense had to bail out the defense at the end of the game for the sixth time this year, but I don't have many complaints. The offense is just on a different level this week, led by Zay Flowers, who seems locked in at the moment. The Ravens got what they wanted against the Commanders. It was another strangely frustrating week for the defense.

It's annoying that the Commanders managed to come up short and Stephens has to start putting the ball in the air.

Otherwise I didn't get anything. Overall, a great football game.

The Ravens got a strong win against a good Washington team. The most important thing to highlight is the efficiency of the offense. The Ravens took advantage of Zay Flowers being nearly unstoppable in the first half. Jackson played a nearly flawless game after the early interception. The number one offense in the NFL looked like it. Give Todd Monken his flowers (pun intended). The Ravens took advantage of a weak secondary and finished the game with Derrick Henry.

They must give the commanders what they deserve. That touchdown to Terry McLaurin was an insane connection against a good defense. The Ravens secondary played much better this week. It's still a work in progress, but this trip shows great positive progress. Aside from Nate Wiggins having a rookie PI penalty and a play here or there, this was a completely different unit than we saw against the Bengals. It's a huge step forward. This was a strong game for Kyle Hamilton, who scored one of the heaviest goals of the afternoon. The defense passed Jayden Daniels a few times but blocked him most of the game.

The Ravens controlled this game and remained in command despite being constantly harassed by an eager Washington team. This was a very smart and well-executed play by the Ravens.

It was a mostly stress-free game with the Ravens in control from start to finish. It wasn't a game without mistakes, but a red-hot Jayden Daniels was slowed by an inconsistent Ravens defense.

The Ravens offense has proven they can win both passing and running the ball. The flowers have been glowing for two weeks straight and Bateman continues to make progress. I hope the higher pass volume continues as I would like to see Henry fresh towards the end of the season. I'm looking forward to attending the game in Tampa next week.

A damn good game from the guys from the Autobahn.

We knew this would be a tougher game than what we had seen in recent meetings between the Ravens and Washington, but Baltimore was up to the challenge. With two scores and over 100 yards, Derrick Henry continued his absolute dominance, but the biggest confidence boost was that the receiving options continued to add big yards to move the sticks. For the most part, this two-pronged attack made it feel like Baltimore was in control (except for the early pick).

One thing that got me thinking was a series of defensive mishaps against a young quarterback who has proven he has the ability to analyze them. A single coverage with Brandon Stephens against Terry McLaurin at the goal line when McLaurin had already scored a touchdown was…a pick.

Next up is Monday Night Football against the Bucs. Let's play a little harder against Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, shall we?

Two scoring drives for 90 yards, Zay Flowers subbing in Derrick Henry to play Lamar Jackson's partner in the second half, and a defense that tackled well and avoided some of the breakdowns that have plagued them up to this point in the season Victory over Washington a recipe for success for the Ravens.

By the way, Jackson has really had a spectacular start to the season and has really elevated his game during this four game winning streak – he has arguably played the best ball of his career. And watching Henry up close after years of admiring him from afar has only increased my respect for his game. He is a superstar and has shown no signs of decline up to this point in the year.

The defense held a dangerous Washington offense to 305 yards and just 52 on the ground. They entered the game with the second-best running game in the league. The Ravens took advantage of what they had in their arsenal and forced rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels' offense into action. To his credit, the young signal-caller showed why he received so many “flowers” ​​this year. He is talented, throws with foresight and always seems to make the right decision. Incredibly impressive rookie.

Compared to last week's fight, this one was much tamer. It felt like the Ravens controlled this game from the first whistle to the last.

What impressed me most was how well the Ravens moved the ball from deep in their own territory. Two 90-yard touchdown drives were the result of a seemingly perfect balance of running and passing. Derrick Henry ran the ball very well and Lamar found Zay and Bateman in space a ton.

Lamar seems to fit at will and this offense looks even better than it has at most points in 2023.

The defense did a good job on the run and didn't let Jayden Daniels make game-winning plays. The only concern is the middle of the field. Roquan Smith was burned both in the zone over the middle and in man against opposing tight ends.
