King Harristhe 20-year-old son of rapper TI and Tiny Harris, was arrested in Dunwoody, Georgia on Monday (October 14), according to Fox5Atlanta.

Details of King Harris' arrest

Jail records show that authorities in Pickens County issued a warrant for King's arrest because he failed to appear in court. Investigators say King Harris cut off a Dunwoody police officer as he exited a gas station, nearly hitting the officer's car. The officer reportedly turned around and stopped King's vehicle.

WSB-TV reports that as the officer approached King, he noticed a gun on his hip and instructed him to put his hands on the steering wheel. When the officer checked King's information, he discovered that authorities were looking for him in Pickens County because he had failed to appear in court. Shortly thereafter, authorities arrested King and took him to the DeKalb County Jail.

“I told Mr Harris I needed to speak to him outside and opened the driver’s door. Mr. Harris was cooperative and I removed the gun from his hip without any problem. I then had Mr. Harris exit the vehicle and restrained him by handcuffing him. “I walked Mr. Harris to my patrol car, patted him down, and placed him in the back of my vehicle,” the arresting officer said in the incident report.

According to Fox5Atlanta, King was charged in August 2022 with speeding, operating a vehicle with a revoked license and driving under the influence of drugs. In September, authorities issued an arrest warrant after an indictment was not returned.

King's arrest coincides with his father TI's announcement of his soon-to-be grandchild, a baby boy, last month. TI discussed the big news in an interview with Hot 107.9 alongside fellow rapper Young Dro that aired on August 27th.

Additionally, TI joked about what he's most looking forward to with the new addition to his family. “And I told him, King, I'm going to make him the greatest gangster of all time.” TI said with a laugh. “I'm going to pull this one up to torture you like you tortured me – I promise you there will be charges against this boy.”

King's mother, Tiny Harris, shared a close-up of the festivities and decorations on Oct. 6. Additionally, Tiny expressed excitement about the anticipation of King and J'Nijah's bundle of joy.
