After Stewart forced the fumble, cornerback Kenny Moore II grabbed the live ball and scored a long defensive touchdown. The Colts were stagnant on offense with Joe Flacco under center and relied primarily on Jonathan Taylor on offense.

Early in the game, linebacker Zaire Franklin managed to intercept Darnold in the red zone to prevent Minnesota from scoring points.

Indianapolis' defense has been a roller coaster ride in 2024, but had its moments early in a primetime game at US Bank Stadium. If Indianapolis wants to continue to stifle a potent Vikings offense, they will need to neutralize both Aaron Jones and Justin Jefferson to have a chance at a big win on the road.
