Justin Timberlake apologizes to fans for canceling a concert in New Jersey due to an undisclosed injury.

The “Selfish” singer commented on the cancellation of his concert in Newark, New Jersey in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

“I’m so sorry to postpone tonight’s show,” Timberlake wrote on Instagram. “I have an injury that prevents me from performing. I'm so disappointed not to see you all – but I'm working on rescheduling as soon as possible.” He told fans he would “make it up to you and give you the show you all deserve.”

He added an appreciative note, thanking followers “for their understanding” and “their always supportive support.”

The “Say Something” singer is currently on his mammoth Forget Tomorrow World Tour and is scheduled to perform at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on October 11th.

Last month, the “Mirrors” hitmaker pleaded guilty to a lesser charge after being arrested for drunk driving in the Hamptons in June. The Grammy winner pleaded guilty to driving while impaired, a non-criminal traffic violation.

“I try to hold myself to a very high standard. And it wasn't,” Timberlake told reporters outside the courtroom after the hearing. “I want to say to everyone watching and listening: Do not get behind the wheel of a car, even if you have had just one drink. There are so many alternatives. Call a friend, take an Uber.”

The singer's attorney, Edward Burke Jr., also told reporters, as he did in July, that Timberlake was “not drunk” at the time of his DWI arrest. Burke said Timberlake didn't drink “other people's drinks” and only had “one drink in two hours.”

Just weeks after the incident in Sag Harbor, New York, a village in the Hamptons about 100 miles from New York City, Sag Harbor Village Judge Carl Irace also revoked the singer's New York driver's license.

Timberlake was pulled over in his BMW 2025 after failing to stop at a stop sign and “maintain his lane.”

“During the investigation, it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle while intoxicated,” Sag Harbor Village Police said.

In March, he released his sixth solo album, Everything I Thought It Was, with the lead single “Selfish.” The album was Timberlake's first since 2018's hot Man of the Woods.
