Justin Timberlake has canceled the concert in Newark, New Jersey due to an undisclosed injury

Justin Timberlake is in a tizzy after canceling his show in Newark, New Jersey, 30 minutes before doors were supposed to open.

On Tuesday, the “Selfish” singer shared the news on social media, claiming the postponement was due to an undisclosed “injury.”

“I'm so sorry to postpone the show tonight. I have an injury that prevents me from performing. I'm so disappointed not to see you all – but I'm working on rescheduling as soon as possible. “I promise to make it up to you and give you the show you deserve,” Timberlake wrote alongside a broken heart emoji.

“Thank you for your understanding. Thank you for your support,” he concluded.

“RU KIDDING. 30 minutes before entry!?” one fan commented.

“Everyone going there is over 30…we have full-time jobs, kids, families, etc. We had to mentally prepare ourselves to stay up late, find child care and pet sitters, and leave work to travel there,” wrote another. “Two hours before the show starts is unacceptable. And that's only if you find out straight away. Not everyone checks social media. I've already been there. Incredible.”

A representative for Timberlake did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Timberlake reached a plea agreement with prosecutors before the hearing. Exact details of the agreement were not disclosed, but a person with knowledge of the agreement said Timberlake agreed to plead guilty to the lesser offense of “driving while impaired,” a traffic violation that carries a fine of $300 to $500 and punishable by a fine of $90. Suspension of daily license.

Timberlake addressed reporters after his hearing, publicly apologized and made a PSA for drunk driving, as required by the plea agreement.

“So I don't know, I don't know how many of you were in the courtroom and heard what I had to say in the courtroom, but I'm going to repeat that and tell you this. Many of you have probably been there.” And as you may know, I try to hold myself to very high standards. And that wasn't where I could have made a different decision. I had some time to think about it.

“And I also understand, you know, by the fact that you all are here, that I have a platform, you have a platform, we share that platform. And that's why I want to say to everyone watching and listening: Even if you've had a drink, don't get behind the wheel. Call a friend. Take a taxi.

He continued: “This is a mistake I made, but I hope everyone watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know I definitely did. And like I said, you can't even get a drink behind the wheel of a car.

“I've said this before in the courtroom, but I grew up in a small town, so I can appreciate and understand the burden or uniqueness this must have had on the people of Sag Harbor. But I just want to tell everyone.” I'm very grateful to everyone involved, from everyone in the courtroom to everyone outside, including the police. And I thank them, and I want to conclude by saying that we can all be safer out there. And I will do my part. And thank you very much.

When Timberlake was stopped by authorities on the morning of June 18, he “performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,” the arresting officer claimed in documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

Timberlake had “bloodshot and shiny” eyes, a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanated from his breath,” and he was “unable to divide his attention,” the complaint says. The “Cry Me a River” singer also exhibited “slowed speech” and was “unsteady on his feet.”

Timberlake addressed his drunken driving arrest a few days after the incident at his Chicago stop of the Forget The World Tomorrow Tour.
