Jerry Jones didn't mince words after the Cowboys' blowout loss to the Lions

The Dallas Cowboys were embarrassed on their home court on Sunday, which ultimately wasn't a happy birthday for Jerry Jones.

The Detroit Lions marched into AT&T Stadium and cheered on the Cowboys. Jones was not happy afterwards.

When asked about the 47-9 loss, Jones called his team's performance “very concerning” and “very humbling.”

“It was a shock,” Jones said of Jon Machota The athlete.

Dallas struggled mightily at home, losing its first three games at AT&T Stadium. Sunday's loss to the Lions was the fifth-worst loss in franchise history and the team's worst loss since 2010.

Detroit took a clear lead in the first half and never took their foot off the gas. They dismantled the Cowboys in every phase of the game and held Dallas to a meager 53 rushing yards. It is the first time since 2022 that the Cowboys failed to score a single touchdown in a game.

They'll try to get back on track after their much-needed bye week. Their next game will be on the road in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium. They don't return home until November 10th for a Week 10 rivalry showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles.
