James Franco says his friendship with Seth Rogen is “over” following a sexual misconduct lawsuit.

James Franco and his former longtime collaborator Seth Rogen are no longer friends after the actor was attacked over sexual misconduct allegations in 2018.

“I haven’t spoken to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I think it's over,” Franco told Variety about his relationship with Rogen while promoting his new film “Hey Joe.” The film is Franco's second film since 2019.

“And not for lack of trying. I told him how much he meant to me.”

Rogen, who previously worked with Franco on 1999's “Freaks and Geeks” as well as several films including “The Interview” and “Pineapple Express,” publicly distanced himself from Franco professionally after the allegations hit the actor.

In an interview with The Sunday Times in 2021 – months after Franco, 46, settled his misconduct lawsuit – the Knocked Up star revealed that he no longer planned to continue working with Franco.

“What I can say is that I abhor abuse and harassment and would never cover up or hide the actions of anyone who does it or knowingly place someone in a situation where they are with someone like that,” the 42nd said -year-old roe.

In his Variety interview, he said he was “grateful” for the time away from the spotlight, giving him “the chance to just do my personal work and really change what I need to change.”

“I am so grateful to be able to work. I was in litigation and I didn't work during that litigation. But then COVID came, so not everyone could work. So, I don't know, it was all… I mean, we were all kind of in the middle of it. So it was kind of like, 'I don't know what I am,'” Franco said.

“But I definitely used the time to, I hope, achieve a good goal. And whatever was going on with me before, I had to change my whole way of life.”

Franco added: “I am proud of the kind of work I have done during this time. And yes, I haven't worked in films, but I've definitely worked a lot on changing myself.”
