Insider names trade deadline quarterback he thinks the Raiders would be interested in

With the NFL trade deadline less than a week away, some have wondered whether the Raiders might consider targeting a young quarterback like former first overall pick Bryce Young.

The Raiders don't have much to feel comfortable about at quarterback, and most would agree that Young has significantly more potential than Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell.

Additionally, it sounds like the cost to get Young could be a Day 3 pick in the draft.

“I don't think Carolina is going to do better than a fourth-rounder for Young right now,” ESPN's Dan Graziano reported this week, and some would say that's a fair price for a team as desperate at quarterback as they are Raiders.

But according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the Raiders have a few skeptics in the building when it comes to Young. However, Tafur believes there could be a young quarterback the team would be interested in if he were available.

“I think the Raiders might be more interested in Anthony Richardson,” Tafur said on the Just Win podcast this week. “I think the deep concerns that everyone has about Bryce Young are shared in this building. I don’t think the Colts will trade Richardson, but if they did, I think the Raiders would be listening or engaging in the conversations that are out there.”

It's highly unlikely that Richardson somehow ends up with the Raiders next week, and Tafur said as much on the podcast.

Last but not least, the most relevant detail of his comments was probably his sentiment towards Bryce Young.

Maybe someone is willing to give up a fourth-round pick for Young, but it doesn't sound like it will be the Raiders.
