A year after the sudden death of her younger brother Blaize Pearman, actress Raven-Symoné has sadly lost another family member: her father and early mentor Christopher B. Pearman.

Along with his wife and Symoné's mother, Lydia Gaulden, Pearman welcomed Symone on December 10, 1985, and just four years later, the actress began being cast on television The Cosby Show. Pearman also became his daughter's manager when she was three years old, before the actress asked to manage herself once she grew up.

“Honestly, it was a little bittersweet for me because I lost my brother Blaize last month,” she said in the clip below. “He battled bowel cancer for about two years and is doing better now. He is loved and missed and the emotions going in and out of my body, my mind and my family have been a rollercoaster.”
