    The Michigan State football team returns home to play Iowa in the Spartans' home opener on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in East Lansing.

    The game is scheduled to begin at 7:34 p.m. ET.

    MSU (3-3, 1-2 Big Ten) is coming off a bye week, but lost on the road in its last game, 31-10, at then-No. 1-6 Oregon on Oct. 4. Iowa (4-2, 2-1) is coming off its most impressive game of the season, a 40-16 win over Washington at Kinnick Stadium on Oct. 4.

    The game will be the 50th all-time meeting between the schools. The Hawkeyes lead the all-time series 25-22 with two ties. Iowa won the last meeting 26-16 on September 30, 2023 in Iowa City.
