How to Watch Chicago Bulls Games in 2024 With and Without Cable: Complete Streaming Guide

NBA fans have several options for watching games in the 2024-25 season. There are multiple streaming services, NBA TV broadcasts, NBA League Pass, and of course nationally televised games.

For Chicago Bulls fans, things aren't that simple. And with the regular season quickly approaching, they aren't getting any easier.

The following article provides some basic information on how fans can meet Matas Buzelis, Coby White (Zach LaVine?) and other Bulls stars during the 2024-25 NBA season.

The full regular season schedule can be found here.

Note: This article will be updated as more news becomes available and potential deals are finalized between Chicago Sports Network and popular cable/streaming services.

Before we delve into the Chicago Sports Network ordeal, here's an easy way for fans to watch at least a handful of Bulls games with a cable subscription.

Chicago plays five nationally televised games:

Local broadcasts

This is where things get difficult, confusing, angry – whatever word you want to use – for Bulls fans who live in the Chicago area.

Leave NBA Sports Chicago; Join Chicago Sports Network (CHSN).

On the bright side, Bulls games are free on CHSN. The fine print, however, is that these free games will be streamed “over the air,” meaning fans will need antennas to receive. If your TV doesn't already have one, you'll need to purchase and install an antenna.

The channels and locations on which these over-the-air games are broadcast vary as CHSN attempts to negotiate contracts with larger companies such as Comcast and Hulu. But starting Oct. 16 — a week before the regular season opener — games can be found on these channels in these locations.

Good news for DIRECTV, U-Verse and Astound customers: CHSN is at your service. Bad news for everyone else, at least until the company strikes broadcast deals with other services.

NBA League Pass remains the best option for die-hard NBA fans. Unfortunately, the games are off-limits to fans living in the Chicago market as they are broadcast locally.

In this case, this antenna is required to see CHSN.

fans Away There are also options outside of the Chicago area.

Both of these nationally televised games on ESPN can be found on this channel or on the ESPN+ app. The NBA League Pass is another option.

But there's a catch.

Fans have to sign up for a VPN service – essentially, a VPN blocks websites from seeing where you are, so you can watch things like League Pass as if you were in the United States.

The Bulls have finally decided to dive headfirst into the rebuild. They dealt Alex Caruso to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Josh Giddey, and DeMar DeRozan is now with the Sacramento Kings.

Unsurprisingly, they are still struggling to find takers for LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.

However, it's worth considering exciting young players like Giddey, White, Buzelis, Julian Phillips and Ayo Dosunmu as the future of the franchise.

Also be ready for a more exciting kind of basketball. Given the abundance of young players on the team and the support of a first-floor passer like Giddey, head coach Billy Donovan plans to push the tempo and score in transition whenever possible.

The Bulls may give up 120 points on a regular basis – but there's a chance they can score 121 points on a nightly basis.

Hopefully by the time the regular season begins, things will become clearer for CHSN and games will be easier to find at home. However, a week later that is not the case.

Check back here for updates as the season progresses and viewing options change. (The CHSN information page will also be updated.)
