Resale prices jumped Monday, a day after the Dodgers secured their spot in the World Series. The Fall Classic matchup is the most historic in baseball history and takes place in the two most populous cities in the United States.

The World Series begins on Friday. The bottom line at Dodger Stadium: Tickets for two will likely cost at least $2,500.

As of Monday afternoon, the minimum price for a Game 1 ticket on StubHub was $1,326, up 23% from Sunday evening. The minimum price for one of the four possible games at Dodger Stadium: $1,268.

Dodgers tickets available on their website were sold out. They control much of the resale market for their tickets, so prices typically don't vary significantly between sites. The minimum price for every game at Dodger Stadium on Vivid Seats, another resale site: $1,202.

StubHub announced Monday that its revenue for this year's World Series already exceeds revenue for last year's Arizona Diamondbacks-Texas Rangers World Series, even though that series doesn't begin for another four days, and is already four times what the company reported for the World Series earned 2022 Houston Astros-Philadelphia Phillies World Series.

In this series, ticket prices at Dodger Stadium are relatively cheap. The Yankees have not appeared in the World Series since 2009; The Dodgers are making their fourth appearance since then.

As of Monday afternoon, this was the lowest Vivid Seats ticket price for Game 3, the first game at Yankee Stadium: $1,536.
