A successful Hail Mary could mean another for the 2024 presidential election.

As we have written in recent weeks, there is the coincidence named after the Washington Commanders. As our Robert Zeglinski wrote: “Precedent holds that if the Commanders win this final home game, the incumbent political party will retain the presidency. … This has been true in 17 of the 19 U.S. presidential elections.”

We all thought Jayden Daniels' injury might cost the Democrats an election, but on Sunday he was there, hitting the game-winning Hail Mary that gave the Commanders a game against the Chicago Bears.

Will this tradition last? We'll find out in a week.
