How celebrities celebrate Halloween with their children

It's Halloween night and for 2024 it's the most Halloween-y Halloween in a long time. Not only did we have a Hello Weekend last weekend with costumes and parties galore, but tomorrow is Halloween and a second Hello Weekend next weekend. During such a spooky time of year, celebrities are doing their best, including celebrity families who are already celebrating in unique ways.

While most families go trick-or-treating, some celebrities celebrate with their families in super cool ways, like matching costumes, Halloween photo shoots, and cool events.

Christina Ricci

Christina Ricci may not be the biggest Halloween fan, but this year it's going to be a big one because it will be the first time her daughter Cleo goes trick-or-treating.

In a rare interview with PEOPLE about her new tarot deck, Cat Full of Spiders, she said: “I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but my youngest daughter, who's only 2 years and 8 months old, is just as supernaturally obsessed with everything , which has to do with Halloween.”

“So she's going to have her first Halloween going out in costume,” the proud mom added. “It should be pretty funny. She’s very excited about it.”

That's why Hilarie Burton is known as the “haunted house lady” in her neighborhood and celebrates Halloween with her children. “The best thing we ever did was get involved in my child’s school,” she told PEOPLE. “There really wasn't a Halloween celebration in town, so last year I set up a haunted house at my son's middle school. Each parent brought a 10 x 10 pop-up tent and we built an entire room house out of it.”

She added: “This year I have to make it bigger than last year. The pressure is great.”

Drew Scott and Linda Phan are all about the costumes, and they're already going all out with their kids Parker and Piper.

In a rare interview with People, Scott revealed the first of her Halloween costumes for 2024, and it's such a nostalgic idea: It's the characters from Where the Wild Things Are.

“We had a little kids party this morning… Yes. It was pretty fun,” Scott told the outlet. “So we dressed up as Where the Wild Things Are. And so Piper and Parker are both Max and we’re wild things.”

He added: “Because they are our bosses and that’s what we did this morning. We’re here tonight.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt loves all holidays and this year; She gave a hint about the Halloween tradition that she will continue with her three children. On October 30, she shared a video on her Instagram Story showing a Halloween tradition: you let your child trick-or-treat, enjoy some of the candy, and leave the rest of the candy to the “Switch Witch” overnight “Take it away and give them toys instead!

Hewitt reposted this video and said, “I do this with my kids every year!” It’s amazing!”

In case you missed it, on October 23, Shemar Moore and Jesiree Dizon shared a compilation video of him, her, Frankie and Dizon's daughter Charli having the best day ever in the pumpkin patch. He shared the heartwarming video on his Instagram with the caption: “Happy Spooky Season FAM 🎃👻.”

In the video, we see Moore and Frankie walking through the park together holding hands, with Frankie giggling so much the entire time. We see the family jumping around on the pumpkins and exploring the patch, and Frankie running through a tube to her father, laughing as he holds her in his arms.

We also see them trying their best as a family to have spooky fun!

Keke Palmer's son Leodis is having a lot of fun during the 2024 Halloween season. In an Instagram post we see him dressing up as a dinosaur and his mother Keke as a skeleton; I seriously had the best time for Halloweekend 1.

Ashlee Simpson Ross and Evan Ross have two things to celebrate: Halloween and their son Ziggy's birthday. On October 29, Ashlee posted a compilation video showing Ziggy's 4th birthday: a pirate-themed Halloween party. She wrote: “Happy 4th birthday to our amazing Ziggy!!!!! We love you so much!!
