Honestly, I wish I couldn't watch that scene from Terrifier 2

This article deals with graphic topicsPicture this: It's October 2022, the scariest month of the year, and Horror 2 has just been released for horror fans and gore fans to enjoy. I don't quite have the iron stomach that others have when it comes to Art the Clown (David Howard Thornton) splashy method of killing, decide to wait it out, at least until it's released at home and I can see the more gruesome parts (those in a More terrible film, takes up most of the running time). Suddenly the internet is on fire and people are talking about THIS scene Horror 2and that they had “never seen anything like this before” and “how could this even be published?” Being far too curious, I couldn’t resist. I had to know what everyone was talking about. Surely the audience simply overreacted. Finally, What could top the infamous hacksaw scene from the first moment? More terrible? But much to my surprise (and disgust), it was even worse. So much worse.

Allie's death is the most brutal kill in “Terrifier 2”

There's no denying that Art the Clown is a sadistic guy. Every horror villain is, but The way Art so clearly enjoys the torture of his victims makes him particularly disgusting and, well, terrifying. None of his kills are remotely gruesome, but there is a clear winner for the most drawn out and difficult to watch, and that's Allie's (Casey Hartnett) death in Horror 2. Her death begins as a home invasion by Art as she prepares to meet her friends at a Halloween party. He chases her through her house and to her bedroom, where she tries to block his access by knocking over a shelf, which proves unsuccessful as Art simply climbs right over it, on a mission to shed some blood. (I'm starting to feel uneasy.)

Art starts by cutting into Allie's scalp so he can get a good grip on it, ripping it cleanly off and exposing her skull. He then skins her, breaks her arm, rips her forearm clean, and then rips the other arm vertically in half while still cutting and stabbing her. You'd think that would be enough to kill her, but unfortunately for Allie, she somehow manages to survive and Art is pleased about that. He runs away and comes back with some disgusting props: bleach and salt. He pours the bleach all over her body and rubs the salt into her wounds, and to top it all off, he even rips off the left side of her face. When Allie's mother comes home, she goes to her daughter's bedroom and finds it covered in blood. Art plays with her daughter's corpse on the bed. Only she's not a corpse yet, because She's somehow still alive, despite what Art did to herand she moans a single agonizing “Mama” before finally succumbing to her wounds.

It'll be hard to top Allie's death in future “Terrifier” episodes

Given that Horror 2 had a much larger budget than the first film, it allowed writer and director Damien Leone the ability to expand the blood and go as far with the kills as he wanted. He will do the same horror 3which will undoubtedly result in a lot of disturbing and disgusting killings. But it will be hard to top Allie's death in cruelty and downright meanness. Not that Art was ever really nice about his killings, but he was particularly cruel to Allie. What really pushed the killing over the top was when he literally rubbed salt in her woundsand yet she somehow managed to survive everything he put her through for so long. It would be admirable if it wasn't so messed up. You want to see her die almost immediately, just so she doesn't have to endure any more of Art's torture. The final line, when her mother comes in and screams at her while she can barely hold on to life, is haunting.

Art can certainly try, and I know he will, but it will be hard to top Allie's death in the future More terrible Guess. It's been a few years since the film was released and I still can't get the death scene out of my head. It's brutal, it's disgusting, it's grotesque. It's bloody to the extreme. On the bright side, I managed to distract myself from the hacksaw scene. However, I'm not sure this scene is a better compromise.

Horror 2 is available to stream on Prime Video in the US
