Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz dress up as ET for Halloween 2024

It's Heidiween again

Since 2000, Heidi Klum has been hosting her famous Halloween party every year, wearing truly extraordinary costumes that others wouldn't dare wear – think a peacock, an old lady and of course a worm. The look became an instant classic.

And this time is certainly no exception.

The model and her husband Tom Kaulitz were both dressed as Versions of the alien ET from the popular 1982 film “ET: The Extra-Terrestrial.”

Klum's ET wore a hat and blonde wig reminiscent of a memorable scene from the Steven Spielberg-directed blockbuster as Drew Barrymore's character Gertie gave him a makeover.

Meanwhile, her rocker husband channeled the classic ET character.

The couple debuted their epic costumes at the model's annual Halloween party, held at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City.

Her latest look was created with the help of veteran prosthetic designer Mike Marino, who has worked on projects such as Max's The Penguin and Sebastian Stan's latest film, A Different Man.

He was also responsible for Klum's worm costume in 2022 and Shrek and Fiona's couple costume with Kaulitz in 2018.

Ahead of the big red carpet reveal, Klum shared photos of her long preparation process, including a photo of her face covered in prosthetics and another with a big toe.

Klum first gave a first look at her outfit in September.

“#HeidiHalloween is taking shape… 👻👻👻,” she captioned the video, previewing her highly anticipated costume.

The look in the clip appeared to be some sort of slimy reptile; However, she gave no further information.

She also demonstrated the prep process on Amazon Live, calling the look her “most uncomfortable” costume ever.

In an exclusive interview with People in September, the “America's Got Talent” judge revealed that, of course, she's been working on the costume for months.

“Because molds need to be made,” she told the outlet. “Prostheses have to be made, fittings have to be in place.”

“So yeah, there’s a lot that goes into it because I wanted it to be so spectacular that I can’t just put it together overnight.”

Although she nails it every time, Klum told the publication that she often feels pressured when it comes to revealing her annual costume.

“It takes a long time. It takes a lot of planning,” the former “Project Runway” host explains.

“And then when I do the reveal, I want to have a special reveal because I know that I have so many fans and those particular Halloween fans are people who also love dressing up and making up cool things.

“I feel like they really pay attention to what I do and I don't want to let anyone down, so I always give it my all,” Klum added.

The consensus? Her costume was worth the wait.
