'He prayed for my demise'… Francis Ngannou launches scathing attack on Dana White over controversial comments

UFC boss Dana White certainly caused a stir earlier this week when he claimed that the promotion should cut Francis Ngannou before “The Predator” left the organization on his own terms.

Francis Ngannou, who never backed down, has now fired back at the UFC CEO. Not only does he claim that he is the only one to stop the superfight with Jon Jones, but that he has been secretly praying for his demise since he still owes him back pay.

Francis Ngannou launches a vicious verbal attack on UFC CEO Dana White

During the post-event press conference for “Power Slap 9,” Dana White claimed that he would cut Francis Ngannou from the UFC before one of his colleagues “begged” him to keep the dominant heavyweight on the roster.

“Francis is all about the money… I wanted to cut Francis when he lost two in a row. I wanted to cut it. Someone here asked me not to do it. So I wouldn't have cared either way. There’s a much deeper story to the whole thing.”

Unsurprisingly, these comments didn't go down well with the lineal MMA heavyweight world champion, who, speaking to MMA Today's Ryan McKinnell and Andreas Hale, accused White of lying to save face.

“I think Dana is trying to make things right so he can buy good face in the position he lost,” Ngannou said, reiterating: “Dana lost in that situation and the only thing is that he can't stand (my success).

“Bro, I won everything, the guy can’t live without it. He can't get along with me. Regardless of everything that happened, it's not about him – I went there to fight a big fight for my son's memory, but the guy can't stand (me).

“I don't know what his problem is, and he can make it up as he wants, that's his problem – he has to make peace with himself… You could have just said, 'We couldn't find an agreement, we could.' us.'” “I can't come to an agreement, but good luck to him,” that's it, but fast forward and we move on with life – what's the problem here?

According to the PFL heavyweight champion, White “can't handle this loss in the UFC standings” and “has been praying for my demise, but I'm just going to keep doing my thing… get up.”

Ngannou also responded to comments about money, even claiming that the promotion still owed him a portion of his purse when he faced Stipe Miocic and Ciryl Gane in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

“What money is he talking about? The money he owes me. They said they would pay back the money we owe you from Stipe and Ciryl… They never paid me back and now I've made more money than I ever would have made in the UFC. Twice in my UFC career.”

White has also previously stated that part of Ngannou's UFC exit was because he wanted nothing to do with Jon Jones – “The Predator” denied that accusation, arguing that there is still only one man stands in the way of a possible crossover superfight with “Bones”.

“I still want Jon Jones. Remember, the only man currently making sure the Jon Jones fight doesn't happen is Dana White – the only man standing between (us and) that fight is Dana White.

“I want the Jon Jones fight, give it to me now. I'm down, Jon Jones is down, we've always been down, but this is a new narrative they have to build – three years after I left the UFC, I'm still down fighting Jon Jones . I was down before, and now I'm down.
