UAE leaders took to social media to express their heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of Diwali and congratulate everyone who celebrates it.

The President of the UAE tweeted in three languages: Hindi, English and Arabic: “Sincere congratulations to everyone in the UAE and around the world celebrating Diwali. May the coming year bring you and your families peace, health and happiness.”

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, extended his “warmest wishes” to X.

He said: “Warm wishes to everyone celebrating Diwali in the UAE and around the world. May the Festival of Lights bring joy, peace and security to you and your loved ones. Let the light in your hearts guide you toward harmony, compassion, and shared understanding.

This year the Festival of Lights will be celebrated on Thursday, October 31st. The festival symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. Balconies in buildings across the country were decorated with colorful lights by festival revelers. Some even place 'Rangoli', art made of colored powder or flowers, outside their doors to welcome the deity of wealth.
