Halle Berry Calls 'Shady S-' After Claiming Fake X-Men Script

Halle Berry has called out “shady things” in Hollywood in response to a revelation from director Matthew Vaughn about the X-Men franchise.

An interview excerpt from last year's New York Comic Con has resurfaced in which the British director claimed he had quit X Men 3 (released in 2006) after Berry was sent a fake script to trick her into signing up.

The Daily Mail The newspaper reports that Berry responded to Vaughn's claim of deception with a post on Instagram, writing, “You just never know what shady things are going on behind your back!” Thank you, Matthew Vaughn, for bringing the darkness to light brought.”

The Oscar-winning actress had previously played the character Storm in the hit series since its debut in 2000, including the original and sequels.
