GMA Pinoy TV celebrates October with an outstanding concert, award-winning shows and inspiring stories

GMA Pinoy TV, the home of Global Pinoys, offers a vibrant mix of Filipino entertainment this October. From drama and romance to real life stories, there is something for everyone.

Beginning October 5, viewers can watch “OK AKO,” a three-part miniseries from GMA Network and the National Council for Children's Television (NCCT) through its National Endowment Fund for Children's Television (NEFCTV) grant program that addresses various issues mental health such as loss, anger, anxiety, bulimia and depression. Watch heartwarming and meaningful stories on OK AKO on October 5, 12 and 19.

“My Mother, My Story” brings more touching, beautiful and inspiring stories to global Pinoy audiences. The country's talk king, Boy Abunda, sits down with celebrity guests to talk about their life stories from the perspective of their relationships with their mothers. The limited talk series features one of the world's best pole vaulters, EJ Obiena, in an episode airing on October 5th.

Host Atom Araullo takes viewers behind the stories of the day's biggest headlines with “The Atom Araullo Specials.” In the episode “Republika ng Plastik,” he examines the growing problem of microplastics that are affecting marine life, fishermen’s livelihoods, and health. Watch this “Atom Araullo Specials” episode on October 5th.

“Julie x Stell: Ang Ating Tinig” delights Global Pinoy fans on October 11th. The televised concert is the most anticipated musical collaboration between Asia's Limitless star Julie Anne San Jose and P-Pop King's own Stell.

“Forever Young,” GMA Network’s new series premiering October 21, stars award-winning actor Euwenn Mikaell as Mayor Rambo Agapito. The series tells the unusual story of Rambo, a 25-year-old adult man trapped in the body of a ten-year-old boy due to panhypopituitarism. This rare condition affects a person's growth. To celebrate Filipino American History Month in the United States, a special episode of “Becoming Pinoy” will air on October 26, featuring Filipino-American rapper Talilo (Tala and Ilog). Known for his powerful storytelling through rap and hip-hop, Talilo highlights social issues, poverty and personal struggles through his original compositions and music videos shot in the Philippines, where he has featured local icons such as Apo Whang-od, the Ilonggos, and popular tourist destinations . “Becoming Pinoy,” GMA Pinoy TV’s multi-award-winning original series, portrays globally successful and influential Pinoy people of Filipino descent.

Global Pinoys should continue to watch the latest episodes of GMA's popular shows such as “Pulang Araw”, the premier Philippine television series of 2024 with the strong cast of Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, First Lady of Primetime Sanya Lopez, Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco and Asia's multimedia star Alden Richards, with Kapuso drama king Dennis Trillo in a very special role, and “Widows' War”, the crime series by box office queen Bea Alonzo and primetime goddess Carla Abellana lead viewers twists and turns that keep them in suspense.

Another must-read for Global Pinoys is “Secret Slaves: The Jessica Soho Special Report on Human Trafficking,” presented by award-winning journalist Jessica Soho. It won the Gold Award in the category “Best Current Affairs Program Made in Asia for Regional Asia and/or International Markets” at the ContentAsia Awards 2024. Watch it on October 12 (US and Canada) and October 13 (Asia Pacific and MENA).

Rounding out GMA Pinoy TV's entertainment offerings are “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” hosted by Boy Abunda, the King of Talk, who addresses the latest showbiz topics through in-depth interviews with the biggest celebrities, as well as “Family Feud,” hosted by Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, who brings fun and excitement to the award-winning game show.
