Gigi Hadid had her best friend on her mind at the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday night (October 15).

The supermodel walked the runway first at the iconic New York City event, rising from under the stage in a low-cut pink silk outfit and fluffy angel wings. Before she began walking, she took a page from her friend Taylor Swift's book and waved to the audience, just like the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer did during the Eras Tour.

Hadid teased the reference to Swift before the show while chatting with him AND in the dressing room and told the outlet, “There's something new on this runway tonight that's new to me at least.” I can't remember if it was ever done on the VS runway, but there's one aspect, which Taylor taught me on her tour. At one of her rehearsals she said, 'I'll show you how we do this,' and now I'm using it tonight.” Turns out that “something new” was the riser under the stage, which was also used throughout the night by models such as Ashley Graham and Tyra Banks.

Although Swift didn't attend the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show this year, she is no stranger to the iconic event. She performed “I Knew You Were Trouble” at the 2013 show and returned a year later to perform “Blank Space” and “Style” in 2014.

This year, LISA and Tyla took the stage for breathtaking performances before Cher headlined the event with “Strong Enough” and “Believe.”
