Fonseca smiles as 'driving force' Pulisic returns to starting XI

Christian Pulisic has recovered from the illness that prevented him from starting the big clash between AC Milan and Napoli. So the Rossonberi have their “driving force” back for today’s game against Monza.

Pulisic was undoubtedly Milan's best player this season, scoring seven goals and assisting three in all competitions (12 games). It was therefore a big blow that he was not available from the start against Napoli and was only substituted on in the second half.

As Tuttosport pointed out (via MilanNews), Pulisic has now recovered from the gastroenteritis and will start tonight against Monza. As the team's “driving force” in attack, the returning American significantly improves Milan's chances of winning.

In addition to him, Fonseca will also welcome back Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders, who have served their bans. Rafael Leao, meanwhile, will start on the bench and he is now more like dissatisfied with the situation in the club.

Tonight's game kicks off at 20:45 CET and as it is away, it will be played at U-Power Stadium. Getting all three points is absolutely crucial for Fonseca's side, but it certainly won't be a walk in the park.
