Fantasy Football Week 9 Takeaways: Saquon Barkley is a superhero, Caleb Williams isn't progressing, and more

How do you throw four passes Brian Thomas Jr. in a game you've been watching on the scoreboard from the start. Trevor Lawrence is “Check Down Charlie.” And then, with a chance to win the game, he throws a fade to a running back instead of Thomas – interception, game over.

Saquon Barkley is like a superhero who is out there every week. He literally jumped backwards over a defender. The Giants must be sick.

Caleb Williams was bad. No rhythm in the passing game. You rarely see him drop, plant and throw in three or five steps. He's not making any progress.

The Cardinals dominated with the running game. James Conners The success rate was exceptionally high. So there wasn't really a need for the passing game since that's the Bears' strength (they're terrible against the run).

Jordan love It looks like he learned from Brett Favre, not Aaron Rodgers. He is often careless with the ball. He needed big plays and only had one over 20 yards.

Jared Goff simply has no scrolling volume. Now all of his games will be indoors until around Christmas and you would think the Lions defense will struggle without Aidan Hutchinson. Their game play percentage is poor due to defensive and special teams touchdowns. Goff isn't a sure-fire starter in our game, even with 14 touchdowns in eight games.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Had the breakout game people wanted despite probably being on your bench (he's been started in less than half of Yahoo leagues) and DK Metcalf is expected to be back in the next game.

Kyren Williams' The touchdown run ended at 10. He had chances in close range but couldn't convert.

The Commanders Defense is no longer suitable for hacking around. This kind of thing happens all the time.

The most impressive statistic about it Jayden Daniels There were no sacks in Week 9 against a Giants defense that generates the most pressure in the league.

When I watched the game, I was scared of it Dak Prescott's Injury was a broken throwing hand. But they said it was an Achilles tendon. He's not a runner, so he can probably come back quickly, although we'll have to expect him to be officially named week to week.

I thought Rico Dowdle (107 total yards, five catches) was really good and is now the perfect ZeroRB. But that's only if Dak Prescott doesn't miss significant time. I feel like I'm the only one defending Dowdle in fantasy. Since Week 1, he is averaging 4.7 yards per carry and over four catches per game. The lack of urgent tank destroyers is a coincidence.

Darnell Mooney was a top 10 WR. His season-long pace is 77/1110/9. Real life contracts can matter, and the great thing is that you didn't have to pay anything to get it right.

Tua Tagovailoa is no longer a big-play QB. He had one pass for 20 yards. Tyreek Hill is now probably a late second-round pick at best, and Jaylen Waddle is around 75th overall in a hypothetical recast. The hope of Waddle with Tua's return has been dashed.

hats off Tyler Bass for a 61-yard FG that won the game for Buffalo in the final seconds.

What if I told you? Joe Burrow would throw five TD passes and Yes'Marr Chase would have 11 fantasy points. Simply incredible.

The Raiders dominated the season, so there's nothing to convert about their game.

JK Dobbins re-established himself as the Chargers' model cow. And Justin Herbert was great. Many teams are probably out Quentin Johnston (118 yards and a TD on five targets). His game is made for Herbert's arm.

Jameis Winston fell back to earth against a strong opponent. The Chargers are obsessed with stopping big plays. All teams should be, but they aren't.

I won't continue dancing Nick Chubbs Grave. Maybe he'll bounce back this year. But it's just injury modeling. When you fully recover, you drop two levels with this injury. So does he go from All-Pro to good at some point? But he's also old, so give me the under. I hope I'm wrong. It's a sad story that we've seen a million times since the days of Gale Sayers. Here's the deal: The week I say this and no one mocks me in the comments for jumping the gun, I'll drop this topic for the rest of the year.

I know little about Titans–Patriots. You like the 95 yards rushing past Drake Maye. Tony Pollard And Calvin Ridley are available for the Titans.

Alvin Kamara was great again. His divisions with and without Derek Carr are day and night. Chris Olave suffered a severe blow and was taken away in an ambulance.

The Saints are a terrible defense, but I was somewhat encouraged by that Bryce Young. Yes'Tavion Sanders Again, there's a live waiver option at TE – 87 yards on five targets.

Zay Flowers' The market share was incredibly good. Diontae Johnson played but didn't do anything at all. Would I pick Johnson up on waivers now? No.

Courtland Sutton posted back-to-back 100-yard games after the Bagel in New Orleans. He had a touchdown pass Bo Nixwho now regularly finds his way to 20 fantasy points.
