Fans of the One Direction star leave their tributes in Clevedon

A pier where One Direction filmed a music video was subsequently “flooded” with tributes to the late Liam Payne. News of his death last week.

Staff took the floral gifts and cards inside to protect them from heavy rain and wind, but plan to place them back next to the plaque once conditions improve.

“The pier is a great place for reflection anyway – I think fans obviously feel a connection because of the video, which is lovely,” Ms Laken said.

“It took me back yesterday and I felt very emotional for her.

“It was a difficult day and I think we all felt it,” she added.
