First we have Saoirse Ronan's Blitz, a World War II drama from Oscar-winning filmmaker Steve McQueen. According to McQueen, “Blitz” is a film about Londoners. It honors the spirit of what and how Londoners endured during the Blitz, but also examines the true portrayal of the people of London, while at its core telling the story of a working-class family desperate for reunification in wartime.

After the critically acclaimed and award-winning first season of Bad Sisters captivated audiences for nearly two years, the series is finally returning for a second season. Viewers are also treated to the second part of Silo, so get ready for a deeper dive into the dystopian world created by Hugh Howey, where new secrets are revealed and new alliances are forged.

And finally we have the documentary Bread & Roses, produced by Jennifer Lawrence and Malala, which shows the harsh reality Afghan women face after the Taliban takeover of Kabul in 2021.

Silo Season 2

Silo is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the last ten thousand people on Earth live in a mile-deep underground silo. The residents live under strict rules that prohibit them from exploring the outside world, which is considered toxic and deadly. The first season ended on a cliffhanger as Juliette, played by Rebecca Ferguson, left the silo but surprisingly didn't die. The second season is expected to deal with the aftermath of this revelation.

Bread & Roses

Bread & Roses was produced by Jennifer Lawrence and executive produced by activist Malala Yousafzai. “Bread & Roses” depicts the resistance of Afghan women against the Taliban following the withdrawal of US and British forces in 2021. Based on the experiences of three courageous women, the documentary highlights their relentless fight to preserve their freedoms in life-threatening situations.
