Eva Longoria has developed quite a bit of business savvy over the years, but she still has some regrets.

After “more than doubling” her $6 million investment John Wick After the 2014 premiere, the Golden Globe nominee admitted that she wished she had continued the hugely successful franchise, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.

“What makes me mad is that I had no connection with the others,” Longoria told Business Insider. “It was a one-time thing. That was the gamble. But that was my only mistake, that I didn’t stick to all the films.”

John Wick (2014) grossed more than $86 million worldwide, with the franchise surpassing $1 billion last year John Wick: Chapter 4.

Longoria's interview comes after producers Chad Stahelski and David Leitch told the network about their crucial role in adapting the film after financing for the Keanu Reeves-directed action film fell through at the last minute.

“By the way, I was still in its infancy,” she said of her producing career, noting, “My bankroll was very new and it was a lot of money, and I was like, 'How does this work?' I had no idea. I would like to say that I was an investing genius and just knew what I was doing and calculated my risk. No, none of that.”

It was Longoria's agency, CAA, that offered her the opportunity while also raising funding for the project. “An agent, and he wasn't even my agent, he called me and said, 'You have money, you should put your money here,'” she added. “And I didn’t even know how a movie was made. I asked myself, 'What do you mean by gap funding?'”
