Plot

In Episode 4, titled Elsbeth's Eleven, Elsbeth and her team investigate a murder in a luxury jewelry store. Their investigation uncovers a sophisticated robbery organized by an elegant VIP client. Additionally, Episode 4 will address the lingering mystery from Episode 1's cliffhanger, in which Elsbeth encounters an unknown person in a black car. It later turns out that it is Carter Schmidt, a character connected to Elsbeth's previous cases in “The Good Wife” and “The Good Fight”. Schmidt warns Elsbeth to remain silent about previous cases involving a divorcing client who is being threatened by the law firm.

Number of episodes

The second season of “Elsbeth” will consist of 20 episodes, doubling the number of episodes in the previous season. Showrunner Jonathan Tolins mentioned that the extended season allows for more serialized storytelling, with elements from Elsbeth's past influencing the current season. Tolins described the expanded storyline as challenging yet rewarding as it allowed the team to introduce new characters and add complex layers to the plot.
